About Evansville Cancer Center and Deaconess Chancellor Center for Oncology
Vantage Oncology’s Evansville Cancer Center currently treats a variety of cancers including breast, lung, prostate and brain. Patients who come to Evansville Cancer Center understand that good treatment comes with good doctors who can support them throughout the entire process. Our competencies include pain and palliative services, diagnostic imaging, an on-site lab, cancer registry and a full-time psychologist. Evansville Cancer Center is highly involved with community outreach efforts including their annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Event, Man-to-Man meetings, General Q&A discussions for all cancers, Look Good Feel Better, Men's Night Out and have worked with the Colon Club to bring Coco the Colossal Colon to Evansville.
Under the direction of
Dr. Jon Frazier, ECC offers High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy, an internationally recognized Gamma Med program and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). These advanced clinical treatment options permit precise targeting of radiation to a tumor, sparing critical normal organs, providing for better outcomes and fewer side effects for patients. Dr. Frazier received his medical degree from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in General Surgery and Radiation Oncology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Frazier completed his fellowship in brachytherapy at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
In a continued effort to provide comprehensive and coordinated cancer care to the Tri-State, Deaconess Chancellor Center for Oncology and Evansville Cancer Center - Vantage Oncology have announced a new partnership. This partnership, named Tri-State Radiation Oncology Centers, will operate two full-service oncology centers at their current locations: 700 N. Burkhardt Road in Evansville, Indiana, and 4055 Gateway Boulevard in Newburgh, Indiana. The Deaconess Chancellor Center for Oncology is located on the Deaconess Gateway campus. The Chancellor Center is an area leader in outpatient cancer services and offers services that include radiation therapy, chemotherapy infusion, nutrition counseling, pain management, spiritual support, cancer rehabilitation, community education, support groups and a lending library. The center provides cancer education, support services and state-of-the-art therapies in an emotionally and spiritually healing environment.
